If it’s been over a year since it was last tuned, it needs to be tuned.  Pianos go out of tune for many reasons, moving, playing and environment being the most common.  You run your A/C for one season and your heat for one season and the piano that’s made of wood will expand and contract with the change in temperature and humidity and this will cause the piano to be out of tune.
