It's the perfect time to have your piano serviced before the recitals, family dinners, and carols begin, take five minutes to ensure your piano is ready to shine. These simple fall tune-up tips will keep it sounding rich and reliable all season long.

  • Dust and Pollen: Fall is dusty and that dust ends up in your piano especially on the keys.  Make sure your keys and dusted often.

  • Swings in Temperature: AC off and heat on.  Humidity and temperature are the biggest factors for your wooden piano.  All pianos will expand and contract during this time.

  • Hammer condition: The wear on your hammers dictates how the piano sounds.  Have a "Hammer Check" done next time The Piano Doctor visits to make sure your piano is singing the best it can.
