Tales from the Trails...
July kept us rolling down the highway with "GeorgieAnne" (our tour bus), chasing pianos that needed a little love and stories that deserved to be heard. From early mornings in the Low Country of South Carolina to bright studio lights in Sausalito, California this month reminded us why we do this work.
It started with the NBC/WIS interview in Columbia about our Steinway donation. The response was immediate — new clients reached out the same day, and several are already on the books for next year. Watching that piece air and seeing real families connect with the “lost art” message felt like the kind of moment that makes the miles worthwhile. Full interview in the link below...
Then came the Sausalito shoot. Stepping into the historic Record Plant to recondition the iconic piano Journey used to record “Don’t Stop Believin’" was something special. Thirty-plus hours of footage later, the producers have everything they need to craft the full documentary and the short clips we’ll use to tell the story far and wide. Kelli and I are both excited to see how it all comes together for the September launch.
On the road, the work stayed steady and rewarding. We tuned legacy instruments that have been in families for generations, delivered a couple of church action reconditions, and welcomed new clients who are already feeling the difference a refreshed piano can make.
We also took care of business behind the scenes — leveled up our rolling service with a new jeep to pull behind the tour bus, hit 89 Google reviews (all 5-star) in the last 4 months, and simplified our reconditioning inquiry so churches and families can reach out more easily for a free evaluation.
One More Thing....
This is Bob, Bob is a legacy client and a friend. For years we have serviced his piano and look forward to talking with him every year. This year he showed us that not only does he enjoy our visit every year, he keeps up with our story every month by printing out these Tails from The Trails recaps and saving them. Thank you Bob!
