Awards, Rewards and Piano Reconditioning
June has been one of those months where the miles felt meaningful. We started the month by wrapping up a strong stretch in Savannah, GA. After that it was up to Illinois for week to help out our legacy clients in the Midwest. Florida was next with new clients and piano reconditioning on tap. Finished the month back in the CSRA to breathe for a moment.
The pianos keep singing, the clients keep trusting us with their instruments, and the road keeps teaching me the same lesson: every piano has a story worth preserving.
One of the highlights was returning a beautifully reconditioned piano action to a very happy church then picking up another one 3 days later while in Ocala, FL. There’s something special about seeing an instrument come back to life and knowing it’ll bring joy for years to come.
We also had the chance to tune for Jennie Montgomery at WJBF in Augusta — the reporter who did our first TV story a year and a half ago. She shared that the piece won a Gabby Award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters. That was a special moment and a reminder of how far this journey has come.
We’ve also been following up on our 1856 Steinway square piano donation to the Sigal Music Museum in Greenville. Several stations have shown interest for America 250 coverage, and it feels good to help preserve a piece of piano history for the public to enjoy.
Through it all, the schedule stayed full with legacy clients and new folks discovering the Piano Doctor on the road. I’m grateful for every home, church, and venue that opens their door and trusts us with their instruments.
Looking Ahead
July is going to be historical, TV appearances, legacy clients and a once in a life time opportunity...more on that soon.
